ComnetiX(TM) Inc Expands Scope of Its Agreement With Integrated Biometric Technology for TSA Hazardous Materials Program

Addendum to the Agreement Adds Nine New States

TORONTO, May 4 /CNW/ -- ComnetiX(TM) Inc (TSX: CXI), a leading
provider of biometric identification and authentication solutions, announced
that it has signed an addendum to its agreement with privately held,
Nashville, TN-based Integrated Biometric Technology, LLC ("IBT"). Under the
addendum to the agreement, ComnetiX will provide fingerprinting services to
prime contractor IBT for new applicants and renewals of IBT's contract with
the TSA, which calls for fingerprinting all Hazmat endorsed commercial
drivers' licenses in nine additional states. Those states include Colorado,
Connecticut, Idaho, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon and
Wyoming. As a subcontractor to IBT for the TSA HazMat driver program,
ComnetiX fingerprinting services will now be offered to HazMat endorsees
through IBT in 21 states. The original agreement between ComnetiX and IBT was
announced on April 6th, 2005.
Charles Carroll, President of IBT, said "ComnetiX has proven to be a
valuable partner in rolling out the HazMat program with us in many states
already, and therefore it was only natural for us to extend our relationship
by expanding the geographic scope of services that we want ComnetiX to provide
for us under HazMat."
James P. Scullion, ComnetiX CEO, said, "With this addendum to our
agreement with IBT that is already in place, ComnetiX will operate in more
than one-half of the states that have awarded IBT the exclusive contract to
process HazMat endorsees in the particular state. As one of IBT's premier
partners in the HazMat program, we're very happy to extend the geographic
scope of our services and we look forward to a solid and fruitful
relationship."
IBT was awarded a master contract by the Transportation Security
Administration in December 2004 for 33 states and the District of Columbia.
The original agreement, dated April 6th, 2005, with ComnetiX provided for the
provision of fingerprinting services to HazMat endorsees in the states of
Alaska, Arizona, California, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska,
Nevada, New Hampshire, Utah and Washington.
The HazMat program requires all 3.5 million hazardous material truck
drivers to undergo a fingerprint criminal background check and terrorist watch
list search upon application for a new, or the renewal of an existing,
hazardous material endorsement.
