Ben, who joins BTG as director from one of largest accountancy firms in the world, brings more than a decade of experience conducting complex, cross border investigations and supporting clients to enhance their fraud risk management frameworks. His clients have included FTSE 250-listed corporates, private equity-backed businesses, SMEs and major public sector bodies, including the Insolvency Service and the Department for Business and Trade (formerly the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

During his career Ben has led complex investigations into fraud, bribery, director misconduct, whistleblowing allegations, insolvency related matters, procurement breaches and accounting irregularities. His work often involves senior stakeholders, regulatory or legal considerations and collaboration with legal advisers, regulators, auditors and internal teams.

This includes advising on the development and implementation of fraud risk management frameworks, conducting fraud risk assessments, and delivering tailored training to employees and boards.

In his role at BTG, Ben will build and strengthen the firm's offering to corporate clients, particularly focussing on investigations, fraud risk management and insolvency related matters. Ben has significant experience deploying cutting edge AI tools and technologies on investigations to analyse large and complex datasets, enabling more efficient investigations and delivering defensible findings to Boards, regulators and legal advisers.

This latest appointment continues the growth of the forensics, compliance and risk team at BTG, which recently rebranded from Begbies Traynor Group to reflect its growing range of services. In the past 12 months BTG has made senior appointments including Partners Sannan Khan and Kate Beckett and won large client mandates.
