Brazil's central bank chief Gabriel Galipolo said on Thursday that a problem at lender BRB (BLSI3.SA) requires a solution from the controlling shareholder, the Federal District Government, rather than from management.
BRB was involved in the proposed acquisition of Banco Master, blocked by the regulator in September. Master was liquidated two months later by the central bank amid severe liquidity challenges.
