Board Changes

Aminex PLC 01 August 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1 August 2007 Aminex PLC ("Aminex" or "the Company") Board Changes Aminex PLC, the oil and gas company listed in London and Dublin, announces today that Derek Tughan is stepping down from the role of Chairman with immediate effect due to pressing personal commitments. Mr. Tughan will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. For the time being Brian Hall will assume the role of Chairman. Aminex also announces that Didier Murcia, an Executive Director of the Company, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Aminex group. As part of his duties Mr. Murcia will have responsibility for the company's operated exploration programmes in the East African region which include drilling in Tanzania and onshore seismic surveys in both Tanzania and Madagascar this year. Other Executive Director positions remain unchanged: Simon Butterfield is Group Finance Director, Mike Rego is Exploration Director and Antonio Prado is President of Aminex USA, Inc. In addition to Mr. Tughan the Non-Executive Directors are David Hooker and Andrew Hay. Mr. Hooker is Senior Independent Director.
