Board appointment

Animalcare Group PLC 11 April 2008 Animalcare Group PLC ('Animalcare' or 'the Company') 11 April 2008 Directorate Change The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of John Tobin to the board of Animalcare Group plc ('the Board') with immediate effect as Group Finance Director. Mr. Tobin (aged 54), a Chartered Accountant, was Finance Director of Batleys plc ('Batleys'), the cash and carry wholesalers, for 14 years, leaving the company in 2006 following its acquisition by Bestways Holdings. Latterly he has worked as an independent financial and commercial consultant. John's financial skills and his experience of large scale distribution and manufacturing represent an excellent fit with our requirements. I am very pleased to welcome John to the board and look forward to his contribution to the development of Animalcare Group. Mr. Tobin currently holds no company directorships. In the previous five years he has been a director of Batleys plc, Batleys Limited, Batleys Properties Limited and Batleys Pet Products Limited. There are no further matters in connection with the appointment of Mr. Tobin to be disclosed under Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules.
