CALGARY, June 21 /CNW/ - On June 16, 2006, Shell Canada Limited (TSX:SHC) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, BR Oil Sands Corporation, would take-up the 92.8% of the common shares of BlackRock Ventures Inc. (TSX:BVI) tendered to its offer and that the offer would be extended until 1:01 a.m. (Calgary time) on June 27, 2006 to enable BlackRock shareholders to tender their common shares, including shares issuable on the conversion of the convertible debentures, to the offer. In connection with the acquisition of control of BlackRock by BR Oil Sands Corporation, today BlackRock announced that John L. Festival, C. Bruce Burton, Victor Luhowy, Kent J. MacIntyre, Seymour Schulich and Kenneth F. Williamson resigned as directors of BlackRock and were replaced by Clive Mather, Cathy L. Williams, Brian E. Straub, Karen Madro and Shannon L. Cosmescu. BlackRock also announced today the appointments of Brian E. Straub as President, Cathy L. Williams as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Karen Madro as Vice President, Operations, Matt Haney as Treasurer, Darlene Harris and Leslie Fiegenwald, each as Assistant Treasurers, John T.D.
