Blackpool drills Clair test well

CALGARY, Dec. 19 /CNW/ - Blackpool Exploration Ltd. announces that the first well of a six well winter program has been drilled in the Clair area of northwestern Alberta. The well is cased and will be completed in early January, 2007.

The Blackpool test well offsets a natural gas well at 15-2-73-5W6M that commenced production at 2 mmcfd and currently produces 534 mcfd from the single well Clair Charlie Lake "D" Gaspool. The 15-2 well has produced 3.633 bcf to date from original gas in place of 9.5 billion cubic feet. Blackpool farmed out its 67.5% working interest in the Clair prospect and will retain a working interest of 27% after completion of the test well.

Additional wells in the winter program should be drilled by the end of the first quarter of 2007.
