CALGARY, Oct. 25 /CNW/ - Three wells have now been drilled on Blackpool's Progress oil property. The discovery well drilled in July - August 2004 is now on production, yielding gross production of 68 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the month of July 2005 (6 mcf gas:1 barrel oil). Two additional wells have subsequently been drilled, penetrating the oil bearing Halfway sandstone reservoir. These wells have been completed and are currently in the process of tie-in to a gas gathering and processing system. Other development locations may be drilled to fully develop this oilpool. The Halfway zone is compatible with secondary recovery through water flooding. Blackpool retains a working interest of 12.5% in this property.
