Bank of Ireland is raising the interest rate on its 12-month fixed-term deposit by 0.40%. The increase, which takes effect from Thursday 16 April 2026 , is set out below: Existing Rates After rate change Fixed-term return AER Fixed-term return AER 12-month Advantage fixed-term deposit account 1.74% 1.75% 2.14% 2.15% Existing fixed-term deposit account holders will continue to earn interest at their original rate until the end of their term. All Advantage Fixed Term Deposit accounts - whether 6, 12 or 18 months - allow customers to access up to 25% of their deposited funds during the term. For regular savings, our SuperSaver account continues to offer 3.00% AER fixed for the first 12 months. After the first 12 months, the prevailing regular saver interest rate applies on balances under EUR30,000 , currently 2.00%.
