The new organisation is based on several fundamental principles, including aligning the businesses with strategic priorities, increasing transformation focus and speed, simplifying the structure, strengthening accountability, evolving ways of working to foster greater collaboration across teams, and ensuring operational continuity throughout the transition process. Among the key changes is the creation of the Corporate Transformation & Artificial Intelligence area within the Strategy Division led by Marc Prat. Headed by Robert Duran, this area has been established to provide an additional boost to the deployment of artificial intelligence across the organisation. At the same time, the Operations & Technology Division, led by Elena Carrera, will be further strengthened with enhanced AI capabilities. In addition, within the Spain Business area, led by Carlos Ventura, a new Business Transformation area is being created to accelerate product innovation for high-value customers, digitalisation, and projects with a direct impact on customers. This new division will be headed by Jorge Rodríguez Maroto, Head of Retail Banking, whose responsibilities will also be expanded to include Small Businesses and the Self-Employed. His remit already encompasses financing, payment methods, consumer lending, insurance, asset management and Sabadell Consumer Finance. Within Ventura's remit, a new Commercial Banking unit is also being created, led by Albert Figueras, who will add responsibility for remote sales and remote customer servicing to his existing role coordinating the regional management teams. The bank has also announced the creation of a new Personal Banking unit, which will be led by Xavi Blanquet and will report to Ventura. In doing so, it further strengthens its commitment to providing specialised, high-quality service to high-value customers, following the recent announcement of the forthcoming appointment of Adela Martín to lead the Private Banking business. Accordingly, the bank's business in Spain will henceforth be organised into five areas: (1) Retail Banking & Business Transformation, (2) Corporate Banking, (3) Private Banking, (4) Personal Banking, and (5) Commercial Banking.
