Expands Telematics Division
Toad plc, which launched its new Telematics Division at the beginning of the
year, has appointed a Sales Manager for ACTRA Fleet, the first of the ACTRA
in-car telematics systems.
Stephen Clark, who was previously National Sales Manager for Telematix Ltd and
has been in the telematics industry for over four years, said today; 'Our
initial focus will be on providing greater efficiency and resultant cost
savings for the service industry, where ACTRA Fleet is already gaining
popularity.'
The web based system can be viewed at www.myactra.com and provides the fleet
owner with the ability to manage their vehicles anywhere in the world and
receive a range of detailed reports - enabling them to dramatically improve
vehicle/driver efficiency and reduce fleet running costs. It is being fitted
to TOAD's own fleet of 100 vehicles which is estimated will generate savings
of up to £200,000 a year.
'A fleet manager's operational costs can be substantially reduced with
ACTRA Fleet and initial take-up has been very encouraging,' says Mr Clark.
