About this update from Anz Group Holdings Limited
ANZ today announced it has completed its acquisition of Worldline S.A's 51% share in Worldline Australia Pty Ltd (ANZ Worldline), taking full ownership of the merchant payments business. This follows ANZ's announcement of 29 April 2026[1], that it had agreed to acquire Worldline S.A's 51% share in ANZ Worldline for an enterprise value of $89 million (on a 51% basis), with an estimated implied equity value of approximately $30 million[2] (on a 51% basis) and estimated impact of approximately 6bps 2 on Level 2 CET1 on completion of the transaction. The acquisition aligns to the ANZ 2030 strategy, strengthening our direct relationship with our customers and reinforcing the bank's position as the transactional bank of choice. As part of the acquisition ANZ will welcome around 270 ANZ Worldline employees to the ANZ Group. There will be no change to the existing ANZ Worldline operations, with customers continuing to use ANZ Worldline services and products as they do today while integration takes place. About ANZ Worldline ANZ Worldline provides merchant payment services to businesses across Australia, offering in-store, online and integrated payment solutions.
