Annual results for the KLINGELNBERG Group's 2024/25 financial year:
  • KLINGELNBERG Group completes successful financial year despite burdens from geopolitical developments

  • Revenue reaches highest level in company history

  • Stable dividend of CHF 0,50 per share proposed

  • Equity further increased

  • CEO Philipp Kannengiesser: "It's anything but a given that KLINGELNBERG was once again able to exceed the high sales level of the previous financial year. KLINGELNBERG benefits from its broad and leading market position, top-tier technological products, and strong innovative capabilities."

Zürich, 25 June 2025 - The KLINGELNBERG Group (SIX: KLIN), a leading global manufacturer of high-tech gear technology for a wide range of industries, achieved the highest net sales in its company history in the 2024/25 financial year. In the past financial year, the Company increased its net sales from around EUR 303,5 million to approximately EUR 309,1 million. The KLINGELNBERG Group's financial year ended on 31 March.

Despite external challenges, particularly those arising from geopolitical developments, the Company successfully navigated the financial year. The order backlog once again reached a high level, totaling EUR 208,2 million. KLINGELNBERG achieved significant improvements in product costs despite higher sales volumes. With an operating result exceeding EUR 16,0 million, KLINGELNBERG continued its stable earnings trend. It should be noted that the nominal decline of this figure compared to the previous financial year (EUR 25,1 million) is mainly attributable to a one-off effect: In the previous financial year, KLINGELNBERG received a final round of significant insurance payments related to damage caused by the July 2021 floods.

At the same time, a collective wage agreement - which, from KLINGELNBERG's perspective, was significantly excessive - had a negative impact. Against this backdrop, and in light of the pressures on the global economy due to weak economic activity in Europe and emerging trade disputes over tariffs, the strong sales figures and - on an adjusted basis - stable earnings clearly demonstrate the Company's sustainable positioning. This success was driven in particular by KLINGELNBERG's strong international positioning in rapidly growing industries such as wind energy and individual mobility. At the same time, KLINGELNBERG was once again able to benefit from globally increasing investments in the defense and aerospace sectors during the past financial year.

The Board of Directors will propose to the Annual General Meeting on 21 August 2025 that an unchanged dividend of CHF 0,50 per share be distributed. In doing so, the Company continues its dividend policy and ensures that shareholders appropriately participate in its success.

Philipp Kannengiesser, CEO of the KLINGELNBERG Group, said: "It is encouraging - and anything but a given - that KLINGELNBERG was once again able to exceed the already high sales level achieved in the previous financial year." KLINGELNBERG benefits from its broad and globally leading market position, its cutting-edge technologies, and its strong innovative capabilities. These factors combine to provide KLINGELNBERG with stability in a difficult and uncertain market environment. Rising investments, particularly in the defense sector, contribute to our cautiously optimistic outlook. Whenever solutions are needed where our company has the required expertise, KLINGELNBERG is among the first choices - thanks to its quality, innovative strength, efficiency, and reliability. The Company will continue on this path and seize growth opportunities as they arise. We can rely on our strengths."

The operating result (EBIT) amounted to around EUR 16,2 million. In the 2024/25 financial year, KLINGELNBERG further strengthened its equity position: Equity increased by EUR 2,6 million year-on-year to EUR 143,4 million. The equity ratio rose by 3,7 percentage points compared to 31 March 2024, reaching 51,2 percent. This puts the KLINGELNBERG Group in a strong position -even in a turbulent, highly dynamic environment.

For the 2025/26 financial year, KLINGELNBERG is cautiously optimistic. However, in light of ongoing economic uncertainties, including geopolitical tensions, trade tariffs, and challenges in the automotive industry in Germany and the EU, it is difficult to issue precise forecasts. Nevertheless, KLINGELNBERG is confident that a positive result will be achieved.
