VANCOUVER, July 13 /CNW/ - Angus Ventures Corp. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has closed its acquisition of Encanto Potash Corp. The Company will change its name to "Encanto Potash Corp."and commence trading under this new name on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, with the ticker symbol "EPO".
As a result of the amalgamation, the Company now has issued and outstanding 114,097,834 shares, and the fully diluted share capital is 143,692,324 shares. An aggregate 20,200,001 shares are subject to a Value Security Escrow Agreement.
In conjunction with the closing, Mr. Robert McMorran has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company and Mr. Ross Moulton has been appointed as the Vice President, Exploration.
Mr. McMorran is a chartered accountant and has over 20 years experience in dealing with financial reporting and the administration of public companies. Mr. McMorran has served as an officer and/or director of several public companies, primarily involved in mineral exploration and development. He was CFO of the Canada Dominion Resources Group family of flow-through limited partnerships from 1998 to 2006.
Mr. Moulton is a professional geologist and since 1996 has been a self-employed geological consultant.
The business of the Company is the exploration and development of potash properties, and the Company has either a Memorandum of Understanding or an Exploration Participation Agreement with seven First Nations Bands in Saskatchewan.
