T1 applauds decision by Trump Administration to support domestic solar energy manufacturing and supply chains AUSTIN, Texas and NEW YORK, Aug. 07, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- T1 Energy Inc. (NYSE: TE) ("T1," "T1 Energy," or the "Company") supports the decision by the Trump Administration, following an extensive Section 232 investigation, to take decisive steps to prevent market dumping and manipulation, strengthen American manufacturing, create high-quality jobs, and ensure a thriving domestic solar industry. T1 believes setting a minimum import price on polysilicon and derivative products supports a U.S. solar industry that can provide scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy for Americans and American electricity grids. T1 believes this decision will support American jobs, manufacturing, and energy abundance. We believe the new policy supports T1's strategy to build a leading vertically integrated solar supply chain. This includes our previously disclosed supply contracts for American polysilicon and wafers from Hemlock Semiconductor and Corning. T1's 5GW solar module facility, G1_Dallas, can produce enough solar modules annually to generate electricity equivalent to the usage of more than one million American homes. T1's 2.1GW solar cell fab, G2_Austin, is under construction and expected to produce its first solar cells in Q1 2027. Upon G2's completion, T1 expects to have a domestic solar supply chain, utilizing our recently acquired TOPCon technology and intellectual property. "This is a win for advanced American manufacturing and investment in domestic energy supply chains. It helps companies like ours that are creating thousands of high-quality American jobs and we appreciate the Trump Administration's leadership to bring manufacturing back to America," said Dan Barcelo, Chairman & CEO of Austin-based T1 Energy. "For too long, America forgot how to build. Now, we're building energy again which is foundational to prosperity." About T1 Energy T1 Energy Inc.
