OTTAWA, June 1 /CNW Telbec/ - Allen-Vanguard Corporation (the "Company"
or "Allen-Vanguard") (TSX:VRS) of Ottawa, Canada today announced a new
Internet and email advisory service to keep investors and other stakeholders
updated on normal course business developments.
"Our policy has been to press release only large contract wins and
material developments," said David E. Luxton, President and CEO. "However, the
timing of these is irregular, and they are not necessarily indicative of the
progress the Company is making on a day-by-day basis."
The Company said it will begin posting on its web site business
developments in the normal course that would be of interest to investors,
including non-material contract wins. This will commence immediately with the
posting of a contract win from the US military worth more than $1 million U.S.
for the supply of Hook and Line (HAL) bomb rigging equipment.
"The HAL win last week is a good example of routine progress, and is a
particularly telling one. It is our largest-ever single contract from the U.S.
military for HAL and underscores our reputation and renewed traction in the
U.S. in our core Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) group," noted Mr. Luxton.
Anyone already subscribed to the Company's News Release email alert
service will automatically receive the news Update Bulletins as well and does
not need to take any further action. Anyone not subscribed may sign up at
http://www.integratir.com/emailalerts.asp?ticker(equal sign)t.vrs (select "Press Release
Alerts"; this automatically includes the new Update Bulletin service).
Update bulletins, including the one concerning the HAL contract win, can
