With Andreas Kumbroch, the company is gaining an experienced healthcare IT expert who possesses many years of international experience, effective 1 May 2026. He brings extensive expertise in the digital transformation of the healthcare sector, as well as a robust network of key players from the fields of medicine, business and politics. As a client partner within Andreas Prenneis's area of responsibility on the Executive Board, he will drive the further growth of adesso SE's healthcare business. In this role, he will be responsible for the strategic support and development of clients in the healthcare provider sector and will assist hospitals and other healthcare facilities in implementing their digitalisation strategies. With this appointment, adesso is further strengthening its position in the digital healthcare sector in Germany. Within the industry Andreas Kumbroch is regarded as a 'bridge-builder' who combines complex technological innovations with the requirements of strategic management. The company is thus making a targeted investment in expanding its healthcare expertise. Networking and Innovation in Healthcare Kumbroch has been active for many years as a strategic partner in key initiatives for the digitalization of the healthcare sector. As co-founder of IHE Europe and IHE Suisse, and as a member of gematik's INA expert group, he supports the implementation of scientific standards into IT practice. Furthermore, he is involved in professional associations such as bvitg and HL7 Germany, and translates interoperability standards into clinical practice. His ability to bring together stakeholders from the fields of 'Smart Hospital', standardisation (HL7/FHIR) and the healthcare industry makes him a key driving force behind the further development of digital healthcare.
