Brazil: Acquisition of Convenção- Presidential approval obtained
Tullett Prebon plc (the "Company") announces that it has received notice that
it has been granted approval from the President of Brazil to acquire Convenção
S/A Corretora de Valores e Cambio ("Convenção"), one of the leading and most
respected inter-dealer brokers in Brazil.
The Company announced on 13 October 2009 that it had reached agreement to
acquire Convenção, conditional on receiving approval from the Brazilian
authorities. Obtaining Presidential approval was the final approval
outstanding. The terms of the acquisition remain unchanged.
The Company expects to complete the acquisition in August.
