Dan Wilton has 25 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance and principal investing in the mining sector, having executed as principal or advised on more than $10 billion of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and more than $1 billion of financings. Dan was most recently a Partner at Pacific Road Capital Management, a mining-focused private equity investment firm with approximately $800 million under management.
Prior to joining Pacific Road, Dan’s previous roles included Managing Director and Head of the Global Mining and Metals Group at National Bank Financial Inc.; Managing Director in Business Development at General Electric based in London, England; and other corporate finance and M&A roles at global financial institutions based in Toronto and New York.
Dan currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and is Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee for Providence Health Care in Vancouver, Canada. Dan holds a B.Comm (First Class Honours) from Queens University and an MBA (with Distinction) from INSEAD in France.

Speaker 1: Hello, everybody. My name is Derek Iwanaka, I'm Vice President Speaker 1: of Investor Relations and Corporate Development for B Metals. Speaker 1: And today I feel like I'm a bit of a professor here. I get to talk to the Lassonde curve that Speaker 1: I grew up with when I started in mining. Speaker 1: That's actually how I was Speaker 1: educated or introduced to the mining world, Speaker 1: they kind of told me that, you know, this is where we start Speaker 1: on the far left hand side where you have very early stage concept, exploration themes or ideas. Speaker 1: And then you eventually get to a point where you're Speaker 1: at the Speaker 1: drill steady or drill ready stage and then you actually start drilling. Speaker 1: And I would say that's about where we are right now with our main project, which is called Kazan. Speaker 1: Kazan, Speaker 1: I would say, fits on the curve right around here. So it's pretty convenient. Obviously, Speaker 1: it's a point where there's the biggest inflection Speaker 1: in the curve and the biggest value creation Speaker 1: if you make a discovery. Speaker 1: And for us, Speaker 1: our project has been drilled in the past. This is the main 1 is actually called Kato, Speaker 1: which is in Speaker 1: Northern Japan Speaker 1: on the island of Hokkaido. Speaker 1: And Kato has been drilled in the past. In the 1990s, Speaker 1: it was drilled by Speaker 1: the Japanese state agency, which we now refer to as MMAJ. Speaker 1: It's actually Speaker 1: morphed out, and it has actually Speaker 1: reached out to Speaker 1: international boundaries now. So it's now known as Jogmech.
