I'm joined today by Mark Jarvis, Giga Metals CEO. [00:27] Speaker 1: But just to kick things off, Mark, Thank you so much for joining me today. What is the Lausanne curve? [00:34] Speaker 2: Well, the Lausanne curve was [00:36] Speaker 2: something [00:37] Speaker 2: created [00:38] Speaker 2: by Pierre Lausanne, [00:40] Speaker 2: who was a famous, extremely successful Canadian mining stock investor. [00:45] Speaker 2: He was 1 of the founders of the company Franco-Nevada, [00:49] Speaker 2: which was the 1st royalty company in the mining business. [00:54] Speaker 2: And so he put this curve together [00:57] Speaker 2: just as a way to illustrate the various stages in the life cycle of a mining company and what that meant to investors. [01:03] Speaker 2: So 1st of all, you've got a junior company, [01:06] Speaker 2: you're [01:09] Speaker 2: looking for a discovery, you're looking for gold, you're looking for copper, maybe you're looking for diamonds and you find nickel, [01:16] Speaker 2: but [01:17] Speaker 2: you're kind of looking away, not much is happening. [01:20] Speaker 2: And then wait a minute. You drill a big hole. You've made a big discovery. [01:25] Speaker 2: Boy, is that exciting. [01:27] Speaker 2: And, you know, you don't know how big yet. You know, you've only got 1 hole. Now you've got 3 holes. [01:32] Speaker 2: Looks like it could be real [01:35] Speaker 2: because...
