Placing update

On 6 July 2009 the Directors of Niger Uranium  announced that the Company had conditionally placed up to 4,340,052 new ordinary shares (the 'Ordinary Shares') at a placing price of 21p per Ordinary Share (the 'Placing Price') to raise £911,411 before expenses (equivalent to approximately US$1.5 million at current exchange rates) subject to admission (the 'Placing'). The Company has to date received completed applications in respect of 3,761,378 new Ordinary Shares to raise £789,889 at the Placing Price. Application will be made in due course to AIM in respect of these new Ordinary Shares and a further announcement will be made when the application has been submitted and the expected date of the commencement of trading of the new Ordinary Shares on AIM is known.
