Velocity Trade and Kilo Capital Execute First Trades in Abaxx Spot Gold Pool

TORONTO, April 28, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Abaxx Technologies Inc. (CBOE:ABXX)(OTCQX:ABXXF) (“Abaxx” or the “Company”), a financial software and market infrastructure company, indirect majority shareholder of Abaxx Singapore Pte Ltd. (“Abaxx Singapore”), the owner of Abaxx Commodity Exchange and Clearinghouse (individually, “Abaxx Exchange” and “Abaxx Clearing”), and producer of the SmarterMarkets™ Podcast, today announced first trades in the Abaxx Spot Gold Pool, executed between Velocity Trade and Kilo Capital.

“We’re pleased to have participated in the first physical gold spot trade on Abaxx Spot,” said Spencer Davey, Managing Director, APAC at Velocity Trade. “Abaxx offers a compelling platform as the market evolves, particularly against the backdrop of broader efforts to position Singapore as a trusted gold hub. Velocity Trade looks forward to playing its part in these developments.”

“As a U.S.-based firm active in global physical gold markets, accessing Asian trade flows has traditionally required navigating fragmented relationships across regions,” said Wade Brennan, CEO of Kilo Capital. “Abaxx Spot provides an important new channel to transact with a broader universe of customers beyond our existing bilateral relationships in a single venue.”

Abaxx Spot¹ serves physical market participants — including refiners, bullion dealers, jewellers, banks and family offices — seeking direct access to kilobar gold trading and inventory management. Based in Singapore, the platform provides global access to physical gold in the format preferred across Asia in a transparent manner, co-located with Abaxx Exchange’s Gold Singapore futures — ensuring convergence of futures to spot prices. For more information on participating in Abaxx Spot, please visit abaxxspot.com.

¹Abaxx Spot Pte. Ltd. is a registered dealer under the Precious Stones and Precious Metals (Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing) Act 2019 (PSPM Act), and is exempted from holding a spot commodities brokers license under the Commodity Trading Act 1992. Abaxx Spot Pte. Ltd. is not regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a financial institution, but operates in compliance with the regulatory framework established by the PSPM Act.

About Abaxx Technologies
Abaxx Technologies is building Smarter Markets: markets empowered by better tools, better benchmarks, and better technology to drive market-based solutions to the biggest challenges we face as a society, including the energy transition.

In addition to developing and deploying financial technologies that make communication, trade, and transactions easier and more secure, Abaxx is the majority shareholder of Abaxx Singapore, the owner of Abaxx Exchange and Abaxx Clearing, and the parent company of wholly owned subsidiary Abaxx Spot Pte. Ltd., the operator of Abaxx Spot.

Abaxx Exchange delivers the market infrastructure critical to the shift toward an electrified, low-carbon economy through centrally-cleared futures contracts, including physically-deliverable and financially-settled products, in LNG, carbon, battery materials, precious metals, and weather-indexed renewables, meeting the commercial needs of today’s commodity markets and establishing the next generation of global benchmarks.

Abaxx Spot modernizes physical gold trading through a physically-backed gold pool in Singapore. As the first instance of a co-located spot and futures market for gold, Abaxx Spot enables secure electronic transactions, efficient OTC transfers, and is designed to support physical delivery for Abaxx Exchange’s physically-deliverable gold futures contract, providing integrated infrastructure to deliver smarter gold markets.

Adaptive Infrastructure closes critical gaps in post-trade infrastructure by providing a unified custodial foundation across environmental markets and digital title assets. Incorporated in Barbados and regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Barbados, the company delivers institutional-grade custody, settlement, and transfer agency services designed to reduce risk and improve reliability across asset classes.
