Standard Chartered PLC (the "Company") announces that it intends to redeem in full each series of Notes in accordance with their respective terms and conditions. The Company anticipates completing the redemption of each series of Notes on the next respective interest payment date, falling on 26 July 2023 (in the case of the series of Notes with ISINs GB0008387283 and XS0010276466), 30 November 2023 (in the case of the series of Notes with ISIN XS0010826633) and 22 December 2023 (in the case of the series of Notes with ISIN XS0010159159).

This announcement is not a formal notice of redemption in respect of any series of Notes. Before redeeming any Notes, the Company intends to give formal notice of redemption to the holders thereof in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant Notes.

This announcement is released by the Company and contains information that qualified as inside information for the purposes of Article 7 of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 as it forms part of the domestic law of the United Kingdom by virtue of the EUWA ("UK MAR"), encompassing information relating to the Notes described above.
