Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Speedy Hire Plc, the UK and Ireland's leading provider of tools, specialist equipment and services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Rayner as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") and executive director with effect from 1 July 2023.

Paul joined Speedy in the role of interim CFO with effect from 1 November 2022. His appointment to the permanent position follows a comprehensive recruitment process supported by external consultants. Paul is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants with over 25 years' experience in senior financial roles including interim and permanent roles respectively on the main board of FTSE listed companies Avon Protection PLC and Chemring Group PLC.

Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 it is disclosed that Paul Rayner was a director of the following companies at the time or in the 12 months preceding the administration of FL Realisations 2021 Limited and creditors voluntary liquidations of FMGH 1 Limited, FMGH 2 Limited and FMGH 3 Limited (all being companies within a group of companies at the time), following the distressed sale of the underlying business as a result of the impact of COVID 19 on trading. No further information is required to be disclosed pursuant to that Listing Rule in respect of Paul Rayner's appointment as a director of Speedy.
