Safestore Holdings plc announces that after serving on the Board for over nine years, Ian Krieger will not seek re-election as a non-Executive Director at the Company's Annual General Meeting, to be held in March 2024.

Ian will therefore retire as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, as the chair of the audit committee, and as the Senior Independent Director following the conclusion of the Company's 2024 Annual General Meeting.

To ensure a smooth transition, the Company is pleased to announce that Jane Bentall, an existing Non-Executive Director and member of the Safestore Audit Committee, will be appointed Chair of the Audit Committee formally once Ian retires but will take an increasing lead during the transition period. Ian will remain as Senior Independent Director and a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees until he stands down in 2024.

Jane is an ACA qualified accountant and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Jane has recent and relevant financial experience operating multisite, consumer-led businesses as Managing Director of Haven, the UK holiday parks chain and largest business division of Bourne Leisure. Prior to becoming Managing Director of Haven, Jane was Group Chief Financial Officer for 12 years. Jane is also chair of the audit and finance committee of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
