Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, November 07, 2011 /FSC/ - American Vanadium Corp. (AVC - TSX Venture, (OTC Pink - RMRCF),is pleased to announce the commencement of the detailed engineering program for the 100% controlled Gibellini Project in Nevada. The scope of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management ("EPCM") contract awarded to Scotia International of Nevada, Inc. includes three different stages through start-up of the mining operation: Basic Engineering, Detailed Engineering and Construction Management.

Leach pad and civil design, as well as additional geotechnical studies, will be conducted by AMEC Environment & Infrastructure, Inc. of Sparks, Nevada as a continuation of their work conducted for the Feasibility Study completed in September 2011.
