Philippine Government Industry Awards

Metals Exploration plc (AIM: MTL) ("Metals Exploration", the "Company" or the "Group"), a gold production, development and exploration company with assets in the Philippines and Nicaragua, is pleased to announce that the Company has won Philippine Government industry awards, including the Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) in the Surface Mining Operation Category, the highest government mining award attainable in the Philippines, for the fourth year in a row.

Government Industry Awards

·      Metals Exploration has been awarded the PMIEA Award in the Surface Mining Operation Category in 2025, the highest government mining award attainable in the Philippines, for the fourth year in a row.

·      A company employee, Joshua Ambojnon, won Best Safety Inspector in the Plant Category.

These awards recognise mining companies and individuals that are showcasing outstanding dedication, initiatives, and innovations in environmental protection, health and safety, and community development.

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Mineral Awards

·      Metals Exploration represented the Philippines at the ASEAN Mineral Awards, winning a 1st Runner up Mineral Processing Award.

This award recognises companies that have made outstanding contributions to sustainable development across the sector, including initiatives that support community upliftment, workforce development, resource efficiency, and the advancement of environmental, health, and safety standards.
