Announcement of Director

21 November 2014 Karelian Diamond Resources Plc ("Karelian" or the "Company") Directorate Change Karelian (AIM: KDR, ESM: KDRI), the diamond exploration company focused on Finland, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr Sorċa Conroy to the Board of the Company, as a Non-executive Director, with immediate effect. Dr Conroy is a daughter of the Chairman of Karelian, Professor Richard Conroy. She has a City background and currently sits on the Board of Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc, a mining company focused on Ireland. Dr. Sorċa Conroy, a medical graduate of The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, held a number of clinical positions in between her graduation in 1995 and joining Hoodless Brennan, a City stockbroker in 2004. She was recruited to ING Bank in 2006 and whilst there was ranked second in the Extel Survey for Biotechnology Specialist Sales. She had previously been specialist sales for life sciences and institutional equities at Canaccord Adams (2005-2006), where she ranked fourth in the 2006 Extel survey. Dr Conroy has been a Non-Executive Director of Conroy Gold and Natural Resources since 2010. Professor Conroy, Chairman of Karelian said: "I am delighted that Dr Sorċa Conroy has been appointed to the Board of Karelian. Following her input into Conroy over a number of years, the Directors of Karelian suggested that she join the Board. Having independently achieved success and having broad ranging City experience, her knowledge and skills will now contribute to the development of Karelian as it continues to move towards it objective of making a major diamond discovery in the Finnish sector of the Karelian Craton, comparable to the world class discoveries made on the Russian side." Under Schedule 2, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules, the following information is disclosed: Dr Sorċa Catriona Conroy, aged 45, is currently on the board of Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc and holds 470,000 shares in the capital of the Company, equivalent to 0.16 per cent. of the voting share capital of the Company Dr Conroy has confirmed there is no additional information under Schedule 2, paragraph (g) of the AIM rules which needs to be disclosed.
