KEY INFORMATION DOCUMENT
Spinnaker Opportunities Plc (LON: SOP), the standard listed cash shell established to make a material acquisition in the energy or industrial sectors advises that a Key Information Document ("KID") has been posted to the Library section of the Company's website.
A KID is a new regulatory requirement that is designed to assist retail investors considering investing in packaged investment vehicles. Whilst it is debatable whether or not a cash shell such as Spinnaker falls under the requirements, some investors have reported problems with intermediaries declining to allow them to purchase the Company's shares in the absence of a KID. The board has therefore taken the pragmatic decision to compile a KID to facilitate trading in the Company's shares.
