Board Appointment
The Board of InterX, the internet software company, today announces with
immediate effect the appointment of David Ian King as an executive director
and Chief Operating Officer.
Ian was previously Director of Operations, Northern Europe, for Akamai
Technologies, Inc., the world's leading provider of internet content delivery
services. In previous positions he was Chief Executive of Calluna plc and Vice
President, Northern Europe, for Seagate Technology Inc.
Simon Barker, Chief Executive of InterX, said:
'We are now entering the next stage of the Group's growth - a stage that needs
to be sales led. Ian has a proven track record of building strong sales growth
in both large and small technology companies. As such, he will have full
responsibility for all aspects of revenue growth, customer acquisition,
technical consulting services and customer support.'
Other than those disclosed above, there are no further directorships
disclosable under section 16.4(a) of the listing rules of the UK Listing
Authority (the 'Listing Rules'). In accordance with information disclosable
under sections 6.F.2 (b) - (g) of the Listing Rules, Calluna Technology
Limited ('CTL'), a wholly owned subsidiary of Calluna plc, is currently in
administration having been made the subject of an administration order in
January 2000. CTL's estimated statement of affairs at 16 February 2000
identified a net deficit to creditors of £27.1m, which was made up of assets
of £10.2m, inter-company creditors of £31.9m and third-party creditors of £5.4m.
