Image Scan Holdings PLC 31 July 2002 For Immediate Release 31 July 2002 IMAGE SCAN HOLDINGS plc ANNOUNCES MARKETING AND MANUFACTURING ALLIANCE WITH RAPSCAN Image Scan, a leading provider of multi-view, 3D X-ray imaging technologies for the security and industrial inspection markets, has signed a manufacturing and non-exclusive sales agreement with Rapiscan Security Products Ltd ('Rapiscan'). The agreement relates to the manufacture and supply of Image Scan's unique, three dimensional X-ray baggage screening system, the AXIS-3D(R) unit. Rapiscan is a leading supplier of high quality X-ray screening and explosive detection systems with over 5,000 of these detection systems delivered to customers worldwide for use in airports, customs facilities, government buildings, mailrooms, prisons, palaces and other locations. Rapiscan has manufacturing capability at four global locations and after-sales service support provided from dozens of strategically located service centres worldwide. This agreement entitles Rapiscan to manufacture on behalf of Image Scan, and market, on a non-exclusive basis, a new range of three dimensional baggage and freight inspection systems that incorporate the novel Image Scan technology. These new products are now available on a worldwide basis through both Image Scan and Rapiscan, with after-sales support and maintenance being offered through the existing Rapiscan network.
