Statement regarding potential pre-letting at 2 Aldermanbury Square, EC2

Following recent media speculation, the Board of Great Portland Estates plc (the "Company" or "GPE") confirms that the Company is in advanced negotiations with Clifford Chance LLP regarding a potential significant pre-letting at 2 Aldermanbury Square, EC2.  There is no certainty of agreement at this stage nor as to the terms of any agreement.

The Company will update the market as appropriate in due course.
