Gooch & Housego PLC has announced the appointment of James Corte as its new Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, effective in the first half of 2026. Corte brings extensive financial experience from roles at Meggitt, where he was a divisional CFO with responsibility for international manufacturing sites, and most recently as CFO of EP UK Investments Ltd, a subsidiary of the Czech energy group EPH, overseeing a turnover of approximately £2 billion. He also worked closely with the company's investor relations team.\n \nJames joins Gooch & Housego from the privately held Czech energy group EPH, where he became CFO of its UK subsidiary EP UK Investments Ltd in 2023. In this role, he leads the finance function of a diverse group of energy assets across the UK and Ireland with a turnover of approximately £2 billion.\n \nJames qualified as an accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving into industry in 2003.
