Director Appointment and Board Change

For Immediate Release 21 August 2012 Galileo Resources Plc ("Galileo" or the "Company") Director Appointment and Board Change Galileo is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Robin ("Jock") Harmer, MSc, PhD to the board as Technical Director of the Company. Andrew Sarosi (previously Technical Director) will continue as Executive Director including responsibility for Finance and Corporate Development. Colin Bird, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented: "Jock Harmer brings valuable and necessary expertise and experience in the rare earth field. We look forward to his contribution to our mission to develop the Glenover Rare Earth Project and identify other quality rare earth projects". Dr Robin Edward Harmer, 58, holds an MSc in geology from University of Natal and a PhD in geochemistry from the University of Cape Town. He is a Registered Professional Scientist, a Fellow of the Society of Exploration Geologists and a Fellow of the Geological Society of South Africa. Jock's initial career was in academia, holding research and teaching positions at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa, the University of Pretoria and the Council for Geoscience. Jock's research interests included isotope geochemistry, the evolution of the Bushveld Complex and its ore deposits, and the petrogenesis of carbonatites, a rock facies favourable for hosting rare earth minerals. Since joining the minerals industry he has served as Exploration Manager for Pan Palladium Limited and African Platinum Plc. From early 2007 he operated as an independent private consultant working on contracts in Africa, India and Greenland exploring for platinum group metals, base metals and the rare earth elements. More recently he was Managing Director of Australian-based and ASX listed Southern Crown Resources Limited.
