Newsplayer Group PLC 30 April 2001 Monday, 30 April 2001 Newsplayer Group and JVC Sign Agreement to Distribute Ucreatetv(TM) and Newsplayer.com London (30 April, 2001) - Newsplayer Group (AIM: NPG), the new media company, today announced that it has signed an agreement with JVC UK Ltd. (JVC) to include a pre-paid subscription to Newsplayer.com and a new NPG product, ucreatetv(TM) to support the launch of JVC Miniature(R) - the world's smallest digital camcorder on 15 May 2001. Newsplayer will receive a licence fee for the ucreatetv(TM) application as well as revenues from Newsplayer.com subscriptions, which JVC will distribute in the UK and Ireland as an enhancement to the whole range of JVC digital camcorders. Ucreatetv(TM), a proprietary, value-added application designed by Newsplayer, allows customers to upload home shot video footage to their PCs and edit them on-line to create films. The package also includes a pre-paid subscription to Newsplayer.com, an archive of 14,000 clips about historical events and news stories that span the 20th century. With the facility of ucreatetv(TM), Newsplayer.com subscribers can select newsreel footage clips and edit them together with their home shot video to create montages and mini films for their own entertainment.
