Artisan (UK) PLC 18 July 2000 Artisan (UK) plc ('the Company') Director's Share Purchases The Company announces that Mr Stephen Dean, Chairman of Artisan (UK) plc, and Mr Chris Musselle, Finance Director, have today notified the Company of the following purchases of shares in the Company: Mr Stephen Dean, 500,000 ordinary shares at 16p per share on 18 July 2000. Mr Chris Musselle, 50,000 ordinary shares at 16p per share on 18 July 2000. These purchases bring Mr Dean's total shareholding in the Company to 24,500,000 ordinary shares, representing 9.34 per cent of the issued share capital, and Mr Musselle's total shareholding to 288,353 ordinary shares, representing 0.11% per cent.
