Mark graduated from college at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. His structural geology professor, Dr. Reid, used many examples in class from the Bunker Hill and Sunshine mines. This was the catalyst for him going into mining. Right out of school, he joined the team at the Sunshine Mine. His career has been an adventure to various parts of the western US and the world. Specifically in the Coeur d’Alene mining district, his experience includes the Sunshine Mine and the Lucky Friday. His career path has taken him to several mines around the western United States, Canada, and abroad. He has held a wide variety of roles from geology, engineering, dewatering, and environmental. Each of the places that he has worked at added to his diverse skill set. After all the various places that he had seen in his career, it was time to get back to northern Idaho. He made his way back to the Coeur d’Alene district and recently joined the amazing team at Bunker Hill.
