John Skeet
John Skeet has over 35 years’ experience in gold-silver mine development – including 20 years on the ground in Mexico. A proven track record of mine development, he led Ballarat East, Quartzite Gold in Republic of Georgia, as well as the Palmarejo Silver Gold Mine in Mexico, prior to it being sold to Coeur Mining in 2007 for $1.1 billion. John was COO of Cerro Resources prior to its takeover by Primero Mining. In 2017 he founded Sun Minerals and secured the exclusive rights to the high-grade Copalquin Gold-Silver District in Durango, Mexico leading to the acquisition of Sun Minerals by Mithril in 2020. John has an honours degree in Applied Science (Met) and is a Fellow of AusIMM.
