Gordon has 35+ years of experience in mining development, mining finance and M&A, first as a geophysicist and co-founder of Quantec Geoscience, then as a senior investment banker with CIBC, N.M. Rothschild Canada, Newcrest Capital, National Bank Financial, and Gryphon Partners Canada, where he was a Co- Founder and Managing Partner. He was also the CEO of Alloycorp Mining Inc. and has served as director of a number of public mining companies including IAMGold, Royal Gold, NexGen Energy, and Volta Resources. Gordon is a Senior Advisor and Advisory Board Chair of Origin Merchant Partners, Chairman of VerAI Discoveries Inc., Chairman of Black Loop Group, and a Past Chair of Rethink Mining, formerly the Canada Mining Innovation Council (CMIC). In 2013, Gordon was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his work with Right To Play. He is also a recipient of the Robert Elver Mineral Economics Award by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. Gordon has a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Science (Geology) from Queen’s University, is a Professional Engineer Ontario (P.Eng), and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
