Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell warned on Tuesday that a decline in companies looking for workers could create deeper issues for the jobs market.“You're at a place where … further declines in job openings might very well start to show up in unemployment” in terms of rising joblessness, Powell said at a gathering held by National Association for Business Economics in Philadelphia.
