(TSXV:VG) is pleased to confirm\n \n \n that Guatemala has re-opened its borders to\ninternational travel and Aurora International Airport is now open and\nreceiving international flights. In early March, Guatemala closed its\nborders to international travel due to COVID-19 but now the focus is\nreviving the economy of the country.\n \n \n \n \n \n In June this year,\nVolcanic signed an agreement with Radius Gold Inc. where Volcanic\naquired an option on a very large and prospective land position\ncovering a significant portion of the Volcanic Belt in eastern\nGuatemala. The Volcanic Belt is host to the Escobal Silver Mine and\nthe high grade Cerro Blanco Gold deposit, which is under development\nby Bluestone Resources Inc.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Field work will start on\nOctober 1\n \n \n \n \n st\n \n \n \n \n with local crews presently\nmobilizing to the Holly-Banderas Project. The permitting process for\ndrilling is well underway and field crews are presently in the area\ndeveloping support from the communities and establishing protocols\nthat will generate as much local employment as possible. Stream\ngeochemistry was completed over much of the area by Radius Gold,\nidentifying a number of significant gold and silver anomalies for\nfollow-up. The job at hand is large, with over 300,000 hectares of\nprospective terrain to explore.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Of immediate focus is to\nfollow up the discovery holes on the Holly target, which consists of\nan east-west trending ridge paralleling the Jocotan fault system. \nStrong gold in soil and rock samples along 1,500 meters of Holly ridge\ndefine the target, where previous shallow drilling returned 3.6m @ 22\ng/t gold and 697 g/t silver, and 14m @ 4.1g/t gold and 150 g/t silver.\n A 5,000m drill program is planned for the Holly target. At the\nBanderas project, a geophysical program is being designed to better\ndefine the targets.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n With the financing\nannounced yesterday set to increase its already well-financed\ntreasury, the Company looks forward to advancing its Guatemala\nassets.\n \n \n \n \n \n About...
