He comes from\na third-generation mining family in Colorado and began his career\nworking underground for Echo Bay Mines while attending university.\nAfter acquiring his degree Dan began working for Amoco Minerals /\nCyprus Copper as an exploration geologist.\n \n \n \n \n Early experience was in greenfield copper and gold\nexploration in the US and Canada. He then joined BHP Minerals and\nworked in exploration in Mexico, and the western US. He was later\nseconded to the Ok Tedi Operation in PNG as Principal Geologist. There\nhe gained important experience in mineral resource management and\nexploration planning/ execution.\n \n \n \n \n He was then seconded to Peru for BHP Exploration as\nChief Geologist Projects and Exploration and worked in the Las Bambas/\nTintaya District for copper and gold. He gained valuable experience in\nevaluation and economic analysis of exploration prospects and\ncorporate development.\n \n \n \n \n Most recently he was General Manager of Geology for\nPanAust Limited based in Australia.
