[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\nMANCHESTER, England, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Son Le, Technology \nDevelopment Manager for United Utilities, has been\nawarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for Services to the water\nindustry.\n\n\n\n Dr Le, who came to England at the age of 13 as a Vietnam war orphan, is\nthe world's leading expert on acid phase anaerobic digestion processes, a\nform of waste treatment.\n\n\n\n He was educated at Battle, East Sussex under the sponsorship of the\nPestalozzi International Village Trust.\n\n\n\n Dr Le later graduated with an honour degree in Chemical Engineering from\nNewcastle Upon Tyne University and obtained his PhD from Swansea University\nCollege of Wales.\n\n\n\n His current role as Technology Development Manager at United Utilities\ninvolves the evaluation and development of processes for the sustainable\ntreatment of wastewater and recycling of biosolids.\n\n\n\n Dr Le, who lives in Davenham, Northwich, with his wife Rachel and four\nchildren Caroline(13) Victoria(11) Rebecca(10) and Christopher(8), said: \"The\nhonour was totally unexpected but I feel extremely proud.
