She is the Ohio Research Scholar and Endowed Chair of Bio Emergent Materials at The Ohio State University. Dr. Cornish is a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and CEO of EnergyEne, Inc. “We are thrilled to have Dr. Katrina Cornish supporting our research and development team as scientific advisor of American Sustainable Rubber,” said Timothy Madden, President of ASR. “Dr. Cornish is a globally known expert on genetic modification and biochemistry of alternative rubber plants, as well as rubber and latex production, processing, and products. She is the original researcher who demonstrated that rubber could be sourced from hydroponic plants and from genetically altered plants, which we plan to leverage to commercial and scale natural rubber production.
