[{"type":"text","content":"\n Timestrip PLC\n21 April 2008\n\n\nTIME.L\n\n Timestrip Plc\n ('Timestrip' or the 'Company')\n\n Nando's to trial Timestrip\n\n\nThe Company is delighted to announce that Nando's Restaurants ('Nando's'), the\nleading international Quick Service Restaurant chain based in Johannesburg, has\nconfirmed that it will commence live trials of the Timestrip smart labeling\nsystem in selected outlets in South Africa.\n\nNando's operates 700 outlets in five continents, and has recently completed\nrigorous product testing which confirmed the performance of the Timestrip\ntechnology. Trials will commence in approximately 30 stores in the Western Cape\nregion. The main purpose of the trial is to quantify savings achieved through\nreducing wastage and to assess the safety benefits associated with the use of\nTimestrips as part of Nando's HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)\nprocess.\n\nIn addition to these in-store trials, two key suppliers to Nando's will trial\nTimestrip smart labels in order to assess how the technology helps to guarantee\nthe condition of products that are shipped through the cold chain.\n\n\nJeffrey Bloch, Group Technical Director, Nando's, commented: 'We are committed\nto the quality of the thousands of meals that are served worldwide by Nando's\nevery day and I am excited to be moving from the product testing phase to\nin-store trials.
