[{"type":"text","content":"\n Timestrip PLC\n09 April 2008\n\n\nTIME.L\n\n Timestrip plc ('Timestrip' or 'the Company')\n\n\n 3663 to stock the Timestrip foodsafety system\n\n\nTimestrip Plc is pleased to announce that 3663 First for Foodservice, the UK's\nleading foodservice distributor, is now stocking and distributing the Timestrip\nsmart labeling system, part of the unique food safety labeling range offered to\ncustomers throughout the UK.\n\nTimestrips are patented disposable smart labels that monitor how long a product\nhas been open or how long it has been in use. They can measure elapsed time\nfrom minutes up to over a year.\n\nOver recent months Timestrip Plc has been working with a number of contract\ncaterers who supply services to the UK care home and education sectors. These\ntrials have confirmed that Timestrip is a marked improvement to existing food\nsafety systems, which typically involve either hand-written labels or the\napplication of colour-coded labels. By contrast, there was no ambiguity over\nproduct life with Timestrip, and labour time was significantly reduced. Moreover\nTimestrip dramatically reduced levels of food waste and achieved net cost\nsavings in the kitchen by enabling staff to effectively apply 'first in first\nout' principles.\n\nCaterplus Services Limited is the largest privately owned provider of catering\nand hotel services to the care market and trialed the Timestrip system in a\nnumber of key sites. Sales director Ian Clementson, commented: 'We pride\nourselves on producing fresh meals every day on our client sites. We are always\nlooking for innovative products that we feel really benefit our clients and\ntheir residents. We have rigorously trialed the Timestrip system over recent\nmonths, having adopted it in a number of trial sites. We believe that Timestrip\ncomplements our existing safety policies and can provide real benefit in further\nassuring food safety. We plan to implement Timestrip across our portfolio of\ncare homes and educational establishments in the UK.
