Preece, aged 61, currently holds one directorship and has held several directorships in the past five years, including with Gold Fields entities and The International Council on Mining and Metals Limited. Martin held a number of leadership roles at dual listed Gold Fields over an eight-year period including Executive Vice President South Africa, Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Martin was appointed to various operational and strategic roles at De Beers in South Africa and Canada.\nEileen Carr, Independent Non-Executive Chair of Sylvania, commented:\n \n\"I am delighted to welcome Martin to the Sylvania Board, where the depth and breadth of his industry knowledge will complement the current skillset of the Board.
