(\"Shore\" or\n the \"Company\") is pleased to announce that the Canadian Environmental\n Assessment Agency (\"CEAA\" or the \"Agency\") has prepared the\n Environmental Effects Summary document, which is now available for\n public review and comment for a period of thirty days. CEAA is the lead\n agency for the Federal government and Saskatchewan Ministry of\n Environment (\"Ministry\") is the lead agency on behalf of the Province,\n which are jointly conducting the environmental assessment of the\n proposed Star - Orion South Diamond Project (\"Project\").\n\n\nThe Environment Effects Summary is based on conclusions presented in\n Shore's Revised Environmental Impact Statement (\"EIS\") and on\n supplemental information submitted to the Agency in April and July\n 2013. Within these documents, Shore proposes to construct, operate and\n eventually decommission the Project, a diamond mining and processing\n facility to be developed within the Fort à la Corne Provincial Forest.\n The Project is located approximately 60 kilometres east of Prince\n Albert, Saskatchewan. The Project includes a four-year construction\n period followed by the excavation of two open-pit mines and processing\n of approximately 45,000 tonnes of kimberlite rock per day over a\n projected 20-year period. Shore's plans for decommissioning include\n progressive reclamation activities beginning within five years from the\n start of construction and will continue beyond the operations phase of\n the Project.\n\n\nThe Agency invites the public to comment on the potential environmental\n effects of the Project and the proposed measures to prevent or mitigate\n those effects as described in the Environmental Effects Summary.  The\n preparation of the Environmental Effects Summary and public comment\n period are part of the Federal Comprehensive study type environmental\n assessment of the Project.
