[{"type":"text","content":"\n ATA Group PLC\n24 September 2007\n\n\n\n ATA Group plc\n\n Appointment of a Chief Executive Officer\n\n\nATA Group Plc ('ATA') is a human resource support services group, which provides\nemployment solutions and training services to client companies in the United\nKingdom and overseas.\n\nATA Group Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Pendlebury as a\nChief Executive Officer with effect from 1st October 2007.\n\nAndy joined ATA Group Plc as a non-executive Director in June of this year and\nhas already demonstrated his in-depth knowledge of Support Service industry\nbusinesses. He brings with him a wealth of Industry experience having held a\nnumber of senior management positions during his long career with British\nAerospace Plc. In 1992 he joined the Board of Wynnwith Engineering and was\nappointed Managing Director in 1995 establishing the business as one of the\nUnited Kingdom's fastest growing recruitment businesses. In 2002 Andy joined GKN\nPlc as interim Managing Director of the company's in-house recruitment business\nEngage and guided it through the Board's divestment strategy. From 2004 to 2007\nhe has, as Chief Executive, engineered a trading turnaround and subsequent sale\nto the Morson Group of White & Nunn Holdings. Andy is a member of the Institute\nof Management and a member of the Institute of Directors, attended Manchester\nUniversity through to post graduate and studied at Cranfield Business School and\nLondon Business School gaining qualifications in Business Negotiation,\nManagement Studies and Strategy formulation.\n\nAlso with effect from 1st October 2007, Andrew Bailey, Group Managing Director,\nwill change his role to that of Chief Operating Officer, focusing on the\ndelivery of optimal performance from present Group Businesses and the\nintegration of new enterprises which may join the Group following success in the\nongoing search for carefully selected acquisitions.\n\nFrom that date the Group Board will consist of Bill Douie, Group Chairman, Andy\nPendlebury, Chief Executive Officer and Andrew Bailey, Chief Operating Officer,\nsupported by Mark Kendall, Group Financial Controller and Company Secretary.\n\n\nBill Douie, Chairman of ATA Group Plc commented\n\n'Having completed phase one of the Group Recovery Plan and returned to material\nand growing profitability, the time is right...
