(\"Alter NRG\" or the\n \"Company\") announces a new product, the Marc 4.5 Westinghouse Plasma\n torch which provides up to 40% greater overall torch efficiency when\n utilized in the large scale 1,000 tonne per day Westinghouse G65 Plasma\n Gasifier.  The newly designed torches have successfully undergone\n extended life performance testing and the first set of Marc 4.5 torches\n have been delivered in support of a large scale facility in Northeast\n England.  In addition to supporting Westinghouse Plasma waste-to-energy\n facilities, the Company believes that newly designed torch satisfies a\n market demand for an efficient and clean heat source for metallurgical\n recycling, blast-furnaces, foundry cupola's, iron making and other\n industries using coal, coke, or higher cost fuels.\n\n\nWalter Howard, CEO of Alter NRG believes that \"this illustrates our\n continued commitment to product development and improving the economics\n of the Westinghouse Plasma Gasification Technology.  The more efficient\n torch and tuyere design results in higher efficiency, lower operating\n costs and more saleable electricity.  This is part of a broader program\n of continual product development to continue our market leadership\n position and expand market potential.\"\n\n\nThe Marc 4.5 has an operating range of 300 to 500 kilowatts per torch\n and is a scale-up of the Marc 3 torch design which has an output of 80\n to 300 kilowatts per torch.  The overall design, narrow shape, and\n function is similar to the Marc 3 series which has been in commercial\n operation for decades, with the exception of a higher power output to\n meet the needs for larger facilities.\n\n\nThe operational benefits can be summarized as follows:\n\n\n\nHigh efficiency torch, leading to a reduction in electrical energy and\n water usage\n\n\nLight weight with a narrow profile\n\n\nQuick torch installation and removal\n\n\nSimplified and easier electrode replacement\n\n\nSimplified cable design\n\n\nDurable, robust and reliable\n\n\n\nAlter NRG believes that this higher output torch will be the cornerstone\n for improved efficiency of the larger scale facilities being\n constructed and planned around the world using the Westinghouse Plasma\n G65 Gasifier.\n\n\nABO...
